When God says no … He’s saying “Look what I’ve got for you”

Hi everyone,

Where do you turn when … an answer to years of prayer seems to have appeared … then just as quickly … Poof … it’s gone?

You ask yourself … how can this be? You ask God … “Lord,  how could You do this?”

Disappointment can be confusing. Aren’t we told by Scripture that God will give us what we want?

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Psalm 37:4

Yes, God wants to bless us and make us happy. But more importantly, as our Father, He wants to protect us … from anything, and everything …  that may not be the best thing for us … for whatever reason.

I have taught you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in right paths.
When you walk, your steps will not be hindered,
And when you run, you will not stumble.  Proverbs 4:11-12

But how do you deal with the hurt? You must realize that God’s “no” is not a punishment … or some sort of denial of your desire. Rather, it’s a loving redirection of the course of your life.

It’s not always easy to see the truth in those moments … looking through tears can blur your vision. That’s when you must trust your Heavenly Father. He knows what’s best for you … every time, all the time.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.                                                                               Proverbs 3:5-6

In those painful moments, when your heart is breaking … when your happiness seems to be lost forever …  you must listen for the voice of God.

It is then … in your saddest, most tearful hour … that God gently reminds you that He is in charge … and that … believe it or not … He’s got your back.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.                         Jeremiah 29:11

My friends, in your darkest night … God shines His brightest light.

Make no mistake … your best is yet to come! Believe it … it’s true. Because … God loves you!
